Kept up pretty well over the weekend and kind of switched back and forth between real food and the protein shakes this past week, more than likely replacing a meal daily with a shake. Will try to go back to the shake protein 3 or 4 times a day and a healthy sensible meal for dinner next week starting on Monday again. Hoping to keep losing and be under 179 by next weekend. Hopefully! Of course I am still riding my bike at least 4 times a week for 25+ miles each ride. This past Sunday did a Century ride with some friends and doing another century ride tomorrow. But the big hilly ride is in about 21 days and I Can't wait! :)

Looks like this is going to work well for me. Down pound and a half in 2 days. Biked 3 days in a row , not biking today but will do some dumbells and abs at home or may go to the gym for a quick 30 minutes strength workout. I felt a bit weak yesterday when bike riding but I just took it a tiny bit easier than normal. I may feel that way everytime I bike when I am on this protein shake and a sensible mdinner regimen but I don't care to sacrifice cycling performance for a couple of weeks or the rest of the month if I am gonna see that scale number go to 175 or under by or before Oct 10th.

I made the comment to some of my cycling buddies about the regimen and they suggested me not to go so drastic especially if I am still biking and training hard. Due to the fact that I might feel weak when bike riding. So I decided to still do the 1200 calories a day but eat a sensible meal for dinner just to keep it on the safe side.

OK so...I cut down on my bike riding because I was going so hard that my legs/quads were hurting pretty bad each time I wanted to push hard. I am now riding 3 or 4 days a week and been doing it for the past month or two, I really push myself on those days though but I have been eating out a lot not junk but eating too much I believe.I have been socializing too much on the weekends honestly. I also took a vacation to the east coast beaches and really ate a lot while down there with no excercise. I need to get back on track really bad. In about a month from now I have a really challenging weekend bike ride that includes a lot of climbing and If I want to perform good and not suffer too much pedaling up them long and steep hills I need to drop a few pounds. I really want to go down to 175 by october 10th and I know I need to be very drastic and really put my mind into it. I need a good and fast start so I am gonna do the protein shake challenge starting today. Will be replacing every single meal with a 200 calories protein shake. Total of 5 meals and will leave another 200 calories to spare with my hydration\electrolyte drinks and energy shots when riding my bike. The goal is to consume no more than 1200 calories a day. I am very determined to do this at least for the next 7 days and if I see good results will continue for the second week. I hope to be able to stick to it. Wish me LUCK.
