Italian-Indian fusion pizza may not be the best thing for the diet, but the afterglow sure makes you feel like everything is right with the world.

It occurs to me that an important element of losing fat is not eating late at night. Know how the doctor asks you to fast for 12 hours before coming in to do blood work? If you eat at night, you have elevated glucose levels in your blood while you sleep, which your liver is probably busy turning into fat. This goes triple if you have insulin issues.

I've managed to completely avoid the Girl Scout cookies that have been sitting in the kitchen for several days now which is remarkable. The Nutribullet diet has been accompanied by cravings as intense as anything, but luckily I've been able to mitigate those with Hummus, Pistachios, Eggs, Tuna, and the occasional Banana so far. My downfall after a sustained weight loss is eating red meat and sweets in quantities seemingly without limit which leads to rapid weight gain. I hope that I can find a dietary regime that can consistently manage cravings with a feeling of satiety.
At 160, I'm down 23 lbs from my peak weight and weighing about what I did seven years ago. That's a pretty good feeling. I'd like to lose another 15 which doesn't sound so bad, but that involves losing 25 lbs of fat and gaining 10 lbs of muscle, which is a tall order while losing weight.
At 150 lbs I was downing protein powders and lifting weights four times a week in a desperate attempt to gain weight. It did work, albeit slowly, and I had pretty good muscle definition. Looking back and knowing what I know today it's pretty funny.
