Goal Weight

My weight loss journey started Aug. 15, 2013. My journey has lasted years. I refuse to give up. That day I weighed in at 249.6. I panicked. And immediately joined to Atkins. After a long period it was off to KETO, another long spell then to Water fasting, and intermittent fasting.

I AM NOW FOLLOWING A CARNIVORE DIET, and low calories interval eating. It is zero carb, high protein, moderate fat diet. Start weight on carnivore was 225.6. lbs.

UPDATE 4/6/2021 I am 202 Lbs My mini goal was 205, which I hit last week. My next goal is 198. I eat mainly meat and hardly any veg, but I DO include that. So I am not 100% carnivore. I do drink straight alcohol on occasion. I LOVE my routine and my body seems to respond with loss.

I do low-low calorie with no carbs and protein on 4 days. Then for 3 days I eat meat, because I eat in small portions on my low calorie days on my feast days I can only eat in small portions so I am never hungry, I fill up quicly. Thus I eat 1 to 2x a day.

As PART of my weight loss program I INCLUDE dark chocolate, which I consume almost every day. NOT A LOT. Apx 2 squares of a giant bar of dark chocolate with almonds.

OPT FOR DARK CHOCOLATE OVER MILK CHOCOLATE
Seriously, if you crave chocolate delve into DARK. I have dark almost every day. I have been on a losing streak of weight loss. Dark chocolate is touted to aid in weight loss.

My personal experience with the dark is I tend to crave it most close to my menses, and I do not hold back from having it. Having said that, I do not eat a lot in one sitting with 1 exception. That is I tend to the day before I begin to bleed have a larger than normal amount. However, the day I bleed I actually drop in weight! Usually 1 lb under than my premenstrual weight.

GO DARK!

If you crave it, train yourself to 'nibble.' Literally. Enough to savour and taste so later you can grab it again and nibble again. I grab my dark about 2x every day and I nibble, with the 1 exception!

Enjoy. My preferred is Hershey Dark with almonds.

[TIP] RANCH YOUR PORK RINDS -- OMG!
Pork rinds are a great snack as they are super low in carb, but the flavors they come in are not that great.

Recently I discovered adding "RANCH" dressing 1/4th of a packet to my whole bag of plain pork rinds. GAME CHANGER. This is now my go-to instead of opting for carb-laden chips, or even beef jerky. I love it.

What does it taste like? It reminds me of a cheddar flavor!

Mental weakness D:
When I first started on my road to weight loss I often found myself in the kitchen looking for something to eat though I was not hungry.

Then I started fasting and learned what real hunger feels like. I made it habit to exit the kitchen if I knew I was in there un-hungry and hunting for food. Now I do not do that anymore. I did watch quite a bit of movies to help me get out of the mental lock of looking for food.

I must admit I love intermittent fasting.. I've learned true hunger and how to be satisfied with water when I need to pass on eating. I also look very forward to feast days! And pizza days..lol. No crust, but lots O'toppings!

Sleep
I used Valerian, it didn't work at all for me. Benedryl (generic) worked great. Laced with Melatonin ... zzzzzz.

Sleep
I have problems sleeping. I use Benedryl tablets. They are designed for allergy, but it is the exact same ingredient in sleep aids. But if you buy the sleep aid its much more expensive. So I buy the generic Benedryl allergy tablet, and I take it with melatonin. It really works great. I have bipolar and I had to go up in milligrams with the allergy tab, for it to work better for me. So I take a few tablets of generic benedryl along with melatonin and I sleep very well.
