I have been on the Dukan diet since Wednesday July 18th. I am a busy mid level executive with extensive travel. I purchased the book at Logan Airport in Boston en route to Orlando. Reading the first several chapters made me very modivated to start immediately and so when I landed and with no dinner plans I pulled up to Publics and purchased som low salt turky breast, a few hard boiled eggs, mustard and vanilla yougurt ( mistake should have purchased plain ) I jump started the diet that night and continued back home on Friday. Saturday morning I was back on a plane for a 6 day business trip to St. Louis. Stocking up at whole foods with some salmon, fresh turkey I boarded the plane and avoided all temptation. In St. Louis I found a local gourment super market and avoided eating at the planned luncheons and receptions. Having prepackaged hardboiled eggs and plenty of food in my hotel room refrigerator I ate when I was hungry. Because I was traveling I did not have the opportunity to incorporate the Oat Bran. I resisted cravings with Cobati non fat fruit yogurt and my morning decaf Starbucks Ice Coffee ( 2% milk and sweet and low )
While my scheduale was very busy I awoke every morning and worked out at the gym for about an hour. I have never weighed myself, but after 3 days on phaze one I got on the scale and weighed 121.6 pounds. I stayed on the "attach phase" for 10 days with not much movement. I am on my 6th week. I have not cheated except for a rare glass of wine ( 4 over the last 2 weeks- there is only so much you can resist!) Today- Sunday August 26th I weigh 117.6 pounds. What you should know about me. I am very active I work out or run 3-5 miles at least 5 days a week. I commute into the city and work 5 days a week. I walk alot and keep active. I am 48 years old and have gone through pre-menapause. I feel really good today and can see the change in my face and my belly. I am fustrated that I am loosing ounces and not pounds. I have been so good! I plan to keep it up because I know women that have succedded in significantly changing thier body shape and my hope is that I will be able to see visible results. I beleive that keeping to my excercise routine and achieving a weight of 111-112 pounds will get me there. I just didnt expect it would take this long!
