Well I'm impressed. I had one and a half grilled cheese for dinner, for 3 slices bread, and my carbs for the day were slightly under 50g; leaving room for some smokies as a snack. Good to know I can still indulge on bread without throwing my diet completely off track. My total calories, after two smokies, will be just over 1500; also good.
My doc changed one of my meds recently, and the withdrawal has kicked in hard tonight. His words to me were "there's no easy way to (switch over), you just gotta do it." Blech, this is awful. I may disappear for a few days if this gets worse...

Do the carb cravings ever end?!

Yesterday was a huge win for me! If I could make everyday like yesterday I'd be ecstatic. Calories were around 1500; a little low but not too low. Carbs were around 40g; lower than my goal of 50g a day! I was a little hungry when I went to bed, but that's ok. We don't exactly digest well in our sleep any how. I woke up with a grumble-y stomach, but unfortunately I was also quite nauseous, so I haven't eaten yet. But chicken is in the oven and lunch shall be served soon!

What?! I, literally, had ten McFries and that packed on 7g of carbs!

I've discovered that waiting until I'm hungry before I start cooking is a bad thing. Before the food is done I succumb to the cravings. I completely forgot about the sugar free jello in the fridge and nom'd on chocolate instead. AT least I had enough self-control that I didn't over do it... only 22g of carbs. I think I'm around 90g of carbs right now and the day is essentially done. I
might
have one more mug of coffee before bed for 12g of carbs; I'll still be below 100g for the day. 150g of carbs a day would, supposedly, see slow weight loss. 100g for today shouldn't be too much of a dent; I'll just have to try harder tomorrow.
