I think you've had your "Aha moment"! I am JUST like you... I love love love food. I find eating a lot of healthy foods with fibre and protein helps a lot with cravings. I eat a lot of peanut butter and apples.
You've lost 5 lbs already!!! Good job! Keep it up, whatever you're doing works... even if that means eating whatever you want everynow and then to "wean" yourself off junk foods. I did that until I plateaued and then I had to be more strict with my eating. By that time though, I was more used to eating good food and not counting calories that it became like second nature to grab some fruit or yogurt or whole grain bread with peanut butter.
