posterchild66's Journal, 21 March 2012

Late check in today. Busy AM at work. Weight stayed the same.

Suprised my weight did not increase, yesterdays lunch was heavy. We went to Chili's for a co-worker and good friends birthday luncheon. I got chicken sandwich slider things at Chili's, and sweet potato fries. I barely had any fries. I did eat some chips and salsa. The food was pretty terrible once again, the chicken was WAY overcooked. The highlight was the sweet potato fries, and I had already decided I was not eating many. I will have to go back with the wifey, she likes those.

Last night for dinner was simply a scrambled egg, and chicken. This week I am doing what my nutritionist recommended and really watching my carbs at dinnertime. I am also cutting out essentially all snacks this week. My RDI has been lower than target, sometimes too low, and that is my goal this week.

Salad today for lunch, and I am on the way to having another low day. I honestly dont feel nearly as deprived as I did a few months ago when I started this journey.

Son is making Hamburger Helper for dinner, with real ground beef! So it may not be an outstanding day, depends on what I eat. I am usually not very hungry after my treadmill walk (Which I have been doing the past few days).

It's so awesome that you use this time without wife to experiment and get a better grip. You already know what you need to do, you're optimizing and getting it all together. Respect!

I did enjoy the fact that you in your first paragraph included these two sentences: "The food was pretty terrible once again" and "I will have to go back with the wifey". :)

watching carbs at dinnertime sometimes really is useful. i hope it works for you but only if you feel comfortable with it. that is what is most important (at least it is for me). feeling comfortable in what i'm doing (and eating)

Lol, yes King, that is ironic. They say insanity is repeating the same events expecting different results. The fries were good, and so was the blondie cake thing I had a few bites of. It was my friends bday after all. Thanks Joelae, I try to cut down on carbs, but even if I dont eat potatoes or rice, most of the veggies I enjoy have some carbs. Corn, Lima Beans, etc.
