Sm1dge's Journal, 15 March 2017

So, greedy bastard that I am, I dropped off the wagon, tumbled along the road for a few seconds and slid into a ditch where I lay, disorientated and semi-comatose, shoving pies and cakes into my gob with mucho gusto and no restraint.

The end result is, of course, my highest weight ever. 260 pounds. Sweet baby jeebus, what a bloater!

You know what? I am tired.....

I am tired of being tired.

I am tired of hurting all the time.

I am tired of sweating my ass off.

I am tired of seeing my fat head in the mirror.

I am tired of pulling the front of my shirts down all the time as they ride up over my gut.

I am tired of the struggle to reach my feet just to put my damn socks on.

I am tired of huffing and puffing after going upstairs.

I am tired of laying on the couch watching tv.

I am tired of looking at other people and thinking "am i that big? do i look like that?"

I AM going to do this thing this time around. I got down to 195 a couple of years back and by god I AM going to get there again, and beyond. I know I can do it, all it takes is will power and conviction and belief in myself.

I CAN AND WILL DO THIS THING.
260.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 75.0 lb.    Diet followed N/A.

Don't be in a hurry...persevere through the inevitable plateaus...strive to be better every month than the one before...cherish none scale victories...kill off bad habits and establish new good ones. Sometimes no gain in a month is a big win!! Incorporate some consistent activity (whatever the type) into your life, be very mindful of what and how much you eat, don't punish yourself when you have a bad day...just compensate the next (or next few) days. Think long term but always plan short term goals to enable the long term. The best Way Of Eating is very personal...do whatever works best for you and don't be afraid to change it up if whatever WOE you are doing stops working. Sorry for the long post...wishing you all the best going forward!!
