I am an ex-pat brit living in Iowa, and loving it. I met my wife Rosie in yahoo chat some 13 years ago and we will have been married 10 years this dec (2010). We have 4 kids between us, 3 boys 1 girl, 3 are "hers" 1 is "mine" but they are all "ours". We also have 2 dogs and 2 cats but none are biologically ours.

I am a Gemini. I dont take life too seriously. I smoke (too much) and drink (not enough) i am addicted to diet pepsi, the first bad habit i will break on my way to a healthier me.

When I came to the US i was 200 pounds. Since then it's been a slow creep upwards until today. I stepped on the scales, they screamed in agony and ran to hide under the dryer but not before i read the display .. 249 pounds, one more is a quarter of a thousand...

I am not an excerciser, walking is ok, but running? nothing more than a short sprint, distance is not my thing. Weights are ok too but the motivation isnt there hit the gym. Part of my job involves installing batteries, sometimes 80 a day at 140 pounds on a rack 6 feet high but those jobs dont come often enough to keep me in any shape other than round.

A big issue for me in "eating healthy" is the fact that salad makes me puke..literally. I wish i could eat salad, they look so good, bright colours and all crispy crunchy but i just can't do it, i feel sick just thinking about it. Veggies are ok, as long as they are cooked, really really cooked, i dont do crunchy veg, doesnt seem right to me, i guess it reminds me of a salady thing (gag, gag, spit).

I travel a lot for my job, last week nashville tn, springfield mo, this week minneapolis mn, platteville wi, orlando fl, the week after will be denver co, seattle wa so you get the idea, a lot of pizzas delivered to a lot of hotel rooms and, you know what? Sometimes it just works out cheaper to get the large ones..

Family is coming over at the end of may and we have a wedding to go to in the fall so i need to shed a few by may 27 and quite a few by september.

Dont eat chips and stuff while watching the footy or you get to distracted and eat the whole packet.

Its not while watching that gets me, its the frustration of a bad first half and the 15 minute rush to the kitchen and then the depression at the end of the game when we snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.....GOYG!O2BAG!

WW point calculation if anyone was interested!
They used to set the formula out a lot easier until they realised that people could do the math easy without using the ww calculators, it still works out real close to the formula they use now

(Calories + 4xFat - 10xFibre) / 50

only one division to make at the end and the only difference is the fat in the first is F/12 and in the second is F/12.5
