My name is Angie and I'm 35 years old. I also have three boys.

I'm mostly using this website to lose weight. The scale has been creeping up since my divorce in 2013 and the more weight I gain, the more I tend to stay home, be anti-social and entertain myself with pizza and Netflix.

I want to better myself, not only to be around to watch my kids grow up, but I'd really like to meet someone and start a new chapter in my life as well.

Help! I cant help but eat carbs
I agree with the statements made in some of these posts. The typical meat & potato diet has been part of the American diet for so long, that a lot of people have a hard time eating a diet that isn't carb heavy. But, you can also limit carbs simply by eating smaller portions. Then you don't have to exclude them altogether. I personally do not do well without carbs. I feel hungry ALL THE TIME. Find what works for you, and make sure your mom knows what you're trying to accomplish and why it's important to you. You guys can probably find balance if you work at it together!

Chicken Soup
I have a question, and it's probably pretty silly... I'm eating a can of Campbell's Chunky Soup (Chicken with White & Wild Rice). It's 110 calories, per serving, but I don't eat the chicken. I have....weirdness...about meat from a can. I did a quick search of the internet and I can't find any listing that even helps me come close to figuring it out. Knowing is more a matter of curiosity than need. I'm counting all the calories regardless. Anyone know, or have thoughts?
