Sherillynn's Journal, 02 March 2017

Last night, Hirschl and I had our Canine Good Citizen class. I just love going there with him. Every week he makes improvements and makes me so proud. He is the youngest dog in the class with the oldest one being about 3 years old. Even though he is 10 months old, he has picked up on so many things so quickly. I am excited to get him started in Rally. Good exercise for me and it makes me forget life for a while.

This morning we went out for a very BRISK 10 minutes of fetch. It was all I could take despite having a cup of hot coffee in my hands. I gotta toughen up in these darn winters.

My weight is staying stable. I expect there will be another drop in a few days. At least that is what happens historically.

I wish it were warmer so Hirschl and I could go in the woods on a hike but it just isn't there yet for me. And the trails are icy. Thirty days from now I should see significant weather changes. I want to go on the trails and see the birds getting ready to lay eggs. Although out here, the eagles are already sitting on nests. Those birds are spectacular.

Stay warm my friends and remember, tomorrow is Friday! Blessings.

Yay for him. Are you preparing him to be a therapy pet doing Canine Good Citizen? Believe it or not, I have a Bengal cat who is a registered therapy pet. He had to log hours being observed by staff. He comes to my therapy office and we visit Alzheimer's units. He is a wonderful companion to me and many other people.

I just love doing stuff with him. We aren't going for anything particular. I might compete with him in rally but only for fun. If at any point he doesn't like going to classes, we will stop but he loves the heck out of it. I would love to see a pic of your Bengal Cat!

One of our dogs had the class a few years ago, and I loved taking him :) It made our strong bond even stronger.
