F8thful1's Journal, 09 January 2012

A slow start for January, but I'm not worried as I am finally back in the swing of my workouts and proper eating. Posted .8 pound loss this week, which is better than nothing!

I realized something significant that I wanted to share. I am no longer in a huge hurry to 'get through' the weight loss process, jumping out of bed each morning and rushing to the scale! I still weigh each day and log in my food, but it more a part of the ordinary rather than a preoccupation. I hope this means I am on the road to making life-long changes.

Another interesting tid-bit. It has been a long time since I was in the 170's. But I think when I was here before my body was different. This time I am working out and (to my amazement) running on the treadmill. My hips and butt are so much slimmer than they ever have been before! Maybe it is age along with exercise, but I"m loving the new look! I keep stopping and looking in the mirror (I know.....). Still have lots of pudge around my waist, which I did not have as a younger person.

Oh well....it is easier to hide a thick waist than the wide hips, so I am satisfied with how things are shaping up. Blessings all on your journey.....

You are on the road to life changes that is what it is all about. Yep funny I have found my butt and hips are slimmer than they used to be as well and I used to have a tiny waist....but things have changed over the years. But as you say easier to hide a waist te he......but I know we will all be firmer just up the exercise. YAY
