Well hello 250! I was surprised today to see you! Lost 2 lbs since yesterday, even after a very tired and grumpy evening (and a few pieces of chocolate).
I made my goal of 250 by Dec 31st! And was able to log this into my challenge which ends today. I did not lose 25 lbs in 10 weeks (well, I did sorta).... When I got back from the states and restarted this journey I saw 275 on the scale, but that was after a long plane ride and many meals/Heineken which is a requirement for flying. It was not a true weigh in and I lost like 3-4 lbs overnight after re hydrating on water. So my weight loss calendar says 23 October I was 269 for sure, and now I am 250 on Dec 28th. 19 lbs in about 8-9 weeks. I think its great!

Here I am at work today. Lots of good going on. Some stranger picked me up for a lift into work, which is great. Its only a few blocks but I hobble in anyway on Thurs. I have a hurt Achilles, more on that later, so I am limping around lately. It was nice to get picked up! Thurs is our "Friday" in the middle east, so I am staring down a 4 day weekend again! Oh no, no routines! But, Yay I can sleep in, be lazy (rest foot), and play video games!! I have some cooking plans too, more butternut squash and maybe a nice soup, heck maybe a butternut squash soup! XD. My company also approved my Son to go to a more traditional school out in town (he was home-schooled). So, today is a great day, and I am going to try and stay out of the way and let it happen. I did not sleep well last night, and was grumpy as heck before bed. This is a strange turn of events indeed. Lets hope I don't mess it up.

As for my foot, I hurt it back around Thanksgiving. I ran outside after having a few beers in my stocking feet (Long story). The pavement here is mostly cobblestones, and I did something. Pretty sure I broke a toe and twisted/hyperextendeded blah blah blah. Anyway it hurt like heck. The doctors here are all like Dr. Bombay (I am in the middle east after all). Last time I went to an Ortho for a similar Achilles issue (from power walking too much and being fat), he said I had gout. I followed his treatment but it did not work. Only after resting my foot, ie, being inactive again did the "gout" go away. That means it was not gout! So needless to say I did not want to go to the doctor to only be prescribed panadol which I can buy myself. Well, here we are a month later, and my foot does not seem to be getting better. I finally made an appointment to get it checked out for the 31st, first available. Lets see what happens there, I am sorta expecting to get yelled at for not coming in sooner, and getting a cast/crutches, but who knows, maybe I do just need a few panadol :-P.

Anyway, today I am grateful for strangers giving me lifts, my 250 lb weigh in, my good friends and family, Fatsecret, my job which is more decent than I generally think it is, butternut squash, Linux, and of course my kitty Pearl who greets me every morning when I wake. She is a weird cat, sitting on the rug outside the shower, and then taking a mini-shower herself when I stand over her and dry off.

Have a great day!

/Cheers, JP

YAY on the 250! That's super cool, JP. It's so good to reach those milestones, especially the huge round ones like this one. I'm sorry to hear about your foot, I hope it gets better soon. Maybe a resting weekend is not so bad. Have a great long weekend, my friend!

congrats to the great weigh in, JP! and sorry to hear about your foot... but as keld already said: have a lazy weekend and don't expect to much of yourself. when you're injured or got aches, the best thing is to rest. because if you don't you're going to have problems a REALLY long time....i know that, because i used to ignore my feed hurting and now i do have very loose ligaments and when i do too much of workout (especially with my overweight) they start to hurt again... have a wonderful day and enjoy your great weigh in. by the way: i love your cat ;)
