Sunrise's Journal, 23 November 2011

I have been rethinking my strategy as far as diet goes. I did a lot of reading on this approach today (Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle) and I think I will try it. I'm very nervous about increasing my calorie intake but It makes sense that a drastic, sudden decrease will just lower my metabolism and start to reduce my lean muscle mass. I don't want to hit the dreaded plateau and I'd much rather burn pure fat than muscle.

I like the idea of this lifestyle choice. There is a food philosophy, high intensity interval training and weight training. This is not a commitment to losing weight, but to losing fat and it is a large commitment because of this 3 pronged approach - have a look at the 'diets' here and 'community' and see if anyone else is following this plan and chat to them. They will be able to tell you if this only works if you do everything, or if you have to hit the gym everyday, or if you do still lose weight when eating more calories (I'm always in favour of more calories :-) and it does usually mean you have to exercise for this). It does sound good and you could not just be slimmer, but 'ripped' in the near future if you commit to this :-). Let me know what others are saying and don't forget u may be all over the place to start with whilst you get settled in, don't let that dishearten u x
