I am wondering if perhaps I am diebetic? I have not been able to quench my thirst for a long time. I was thinking it was my sinuses, It seems like I havent been able to breath thruogh my nose regularly since the begining of august. idk. Just a thought. Yesterday I was bad. today I want to be better. I will walk to class. i will not eat ice cream tonight. WILL NOT.

In other news this is my motivation that I shouldnt have bought but did, I am pretty sure if I get back to wear I was it'll fit. I am hoping to be there around my bday. (silly silly why do I always use that day?)

If you suspect you are diabetic, you probably need to get it checked just to make sure. They can do a blood test (no fasting involved) that will give them an history of your blood sugar over the last several weeks. Diabetic or pre-diabetic condition can hinder your weight loss efforts as well, but the doctor can give you an idea of what proportion of protein to carbs/sugar to eat to help you feel better and start the weight loss. I am high risk for diabetes due to family history and have gestational diabetes with my last pregnancy. I have to have that blood test at least yearly to monitor it. As long as I eat right I can keep from getting it permanently and feel so much better as well. The weight also seems to be dropping faster now that I am eating right.

True story to make you feel better.I have every sign of diabetes. From thirst to numbness to bathroom trips. Every Dr Cracker I saw said if I don't have diabetes already if have at least pre-diabetes for sure. I also went to this psycho dermatalogist (unrelated) that said that she can tell from the skin color on the back of my neck that I have diabetes. I took the fasting diabetes test. I don't even have pre-diabetes. The point is you are not to make yourself crazy with wondering even if you are basing these thoughts on actual symtoms. If you don't have insurance, for now, use someones meter and test your own sugar. Do it in the morning before you eat anything. CHANGE THE NEEDLE, USE IT, DISCARD YOURS TOO. It may put your mind at ease. But it is not a substitution to getting is checked, you have to do that. Find the test with your Dr or clinic that will give you conclusive results. Don't shit around so they have you coming and going. When I am sick my sugar is sky high and it looks like I have diabetes but don't. Keep that in mind. Your jacket is too cute, I love the hood. Whats going to suck is that it's going to fit just when winters over.

Thanks to you both for the comments. I tend to get checked once a year just to see if I do since some of my relatives have type 2 diabetes. I have been a little better lately. The suck is that I have no doctors hours left at work so it is pretty hard to get off to go get these things done. I think I am going to try to get a normal physical in within the next month if I can get an early enough appt though so I can see where I am with things. Oh and yeah you are right. It is going to suck that it will be the end of the winter. But last year it snowed til May here so we will see :)
