F8thful1's Journal, 20 October 2011

We are done traveling; it has been fun but all the traveling is hard on eating right! I did pretty well, but I never know what is hiding in the food I eat at a restaurant. Lots of sodium, even if it is low in carbs.

Anyway, FINALLY a pound down and my digestion is working better. Have been eating a half container of greek yogurt; not too high in carbs, and mixed with a packet of Real Lemon and a few drops of liquid splenda it tastes (almost) like a lemony dessert! Most of my reading about digestive issues suggests eating/taking probiotics but if yogurt does the same trick for a few carbs, it seems the best overall. I don't mind taking supplements but it is best to get what we need in our food, if at all possible.

Have also incorporated spinach back into my daily routine; I had eaten it every day for the first couple of months, then changed to romaine. But I think the spinach is better for folks like me as it aids in digestion too.

So much to learn on this journey! Hope y'all are learning what you need to keep this WOE fresh and effective. Thankful for the internet and for all those who have shared! So helpful...
