I'd like to say thanks. :)

Yesterday was a crazy day when it comes to FatSecret interaction. That can of worms I opened the day before yesterday was a much bigger one that I had ever expected. I actually got my first hate mail, "how dare you tell us what to do - yadda yadda yadda", as if the person had never read my initial post in the thread. (for new readers, go check out the "Don't be a stranger" thread in the forum - it's great entertainment!)
It even went as far as me being triggered for moderation by the FatSecret mystic man in the clouds before I could post anything again. LOL!

However, I got at least twice as many positive messages, comments and appreciative mails, and a gazillion buddy requests in the last two days, and that really made me happy. It's really nice to see that what I am trying to do here is really helping some people out, and it's really nice to see and share the results of everyone's hard work. Losing weight is SO much easier when we do it together. I for one could not have done this without the FatSecret forum and the more experienced people in there when I first started. I had so many questions (and still do) and I was desperate to get things right. I was quite baffled when the first one came and asked me for help. I had to ask why they asked me, not even realizing that I might have something to offer.

It made me think, and I decided to get involved, and I love doing it, and I love when you guys benefit from it. It's the best!

Now, I have changed things around a little bit. I have changed the name of "my" diet to Indulgence Diet. I'm thinking of changing it again, to remove the word Diet. I hate that word. I gotta ponder a little more on this. I have also removed the info from my bio, and put something more related to me. It's a work in progress, but I wanted to share a little more about me as a person. Don't worry though, I have posted the Indulgence Info in my blog at http://kingkeld.blogspot.com - it's there for everyone and anyone to use.

Now, today's results: I am down to a new, lowest weigh-in! :) I am today at 89.5 kgs, 100 grams lower than I have been before. I can't even remember ever being this low - it must have been when I was 15 or so (I turn 42 in a couple of weeks!). This is amazing. I feel so good and I am so happy about my new life - I want everyone to have that!

I found this picture of me, I believe it's from 1989 or 1990. Just to show that I'm actually thinner today than I was in my early twenties (and that I was a true rocker back then also!).

Also, I talked to the doctor yesterday, about my 77 kg goal to qualify for the skin removal surgery. I simply can't grasp how I'll look at 77, and it kinda scares me. I'm not intimidated by the fact that I have to drop another 12.5 kgs, I can do that, but I think I will be TOO thin for charm, looks and comfort, but I'll have to see when I get closer. It turns out that there maybe IS an alternative, and I am waiting to get more details on that, whether I qualify for that, and if I do - then when? I will keep you posted.

Speaking of loose skin, I changed my profile picture. I figured we could all use a good laugh. Enjoy.

It's Friday, gang! It's last (and shortest!) work day of the week. I am determined to go hit the gym straight from work, burn some calories, come home, cook for my lovely wife, then go rock out on my AMAZING BASS all evening. We're hoping to record some of our rehearsal tonight - if it comes out nicely I'll let you guys get a listen.

Oh, and there was one more thing... what was it?... oh yeah... :

I about fell of my chair laughing when I saw your new photo! LOVE it. Also I had no idea that people could get THAT upset about the post you wrote in the forums! Some must not have read the first post, it is insane. Back there to read some more and see what kind of monster they have turned you into in their minds

LMAO.... Oh kIngkeld, you are so fun loving :-). Those silly people who are getting their knickers in a twist and sending nasty messages, don't read your journals - so don't realise that all you Wa'n to do is help and encourage people. Fab news about your all time low - wow... 77kgs does seems low. I look at what I should be, (I would need to loose a stone and a half - 21 pounds) and feel it would be too low for looks and comfort. My bum hurts when. Sit down too long now, since I have lost weight!! Like you, I am going to carry on and judge along the way. loose skin is a bugger after loosing weight. So far, amazingly, I am reasonably ok. My legs are a little wrinkly, but I am hoping as time goes on this will change - stomach is just dimply, but I think this is the last bits of fat and water trapped there. They do say that cellulite - the dimply skin thing - is body fat with water and toxins trapped in it. I am body brushing to help get my lymphatic system flushing out the toxins. Enough from me :-). Glad life is still good - and have a good day

too funny Keld. Love the old pic too. I'll bet life is much better now even than then. Thanks for the laugh. I hope you're working on your next forum shakeup!

I'm sorry you've gotten hate mail. And in spite of your wife wanting to keep you humble you are still an inspiration to me and obviously to many. Love both pics. We get so serious sometimes. It's good to cut loose and have a little fun. Look at all the hair! Lol. I read my profile last night and even though Ive only been on site a short period it feels outdated. Growth is a part of the process. Good luck on qualification if that's what you decide you want to do. Sk1nny does the brushing work? I havent lost enough to see much change in my skin but enough to see some and to be phonest I actually considered staying fat for the briefest moment out of fear of what the end will look like. I'm over it. This is about health. Stay strong and true to yourself. Have a great day.

Petuniak - re brushing - I used to have a little mound of fat just below my knee. After brushing a few times and oiling after - this has disappeared. When I was on hols I read in a magazine (which unfortunately I left there) an article about where women store fat and the health dangers. Apparently the fat is "home" to the toxins that build up. Round bust - you get fat around your heart. Round middle - is most dangerous, as the fat covers your essential organs; on the thighs / legs is best place (not aesthetically lol). Body brushing is supposed to get your lymphatic system working - this is the system, that carries the toxins around your body and disposes of them. So by getting it working, you are encouraging the system to carry those toxins to your lymph glands - where they are got rid of. In turn by getting rid of the toxins within the fat - it is supposed to break down the fat - I can honestly say my fat is "wobblier" now and I think it is because it is breaking down (hope, anyway lol). Body brushing also gets rid of dead skin cells and encourages your body to produce new skin cells - hopefully these new cells are more "elastic", so eventually the skin will shrink to fit your new shape. That's the theory anyway... And I do think it is working - it is obviously difficult to say 100% as I don't know what it would look like without brushing. I have noticed fat breakdown in areas I have concentrated on. You HAVE to do it regularly AND DEFINATELY need to moisture after. I researched on the Internet "benefits of dry body brushing" and then bought a "cellulite body brush" and almond oil. I do it 2-3 times a week (only takes 5-10 minutes. Hope that helps

Sk1nny is right - brushing and oiling definitely works and will save you the op when you get to your goal weight.....

Love the new pic and the young rocker one! Thanks for sharing so much of yourself with us. It's as inspiring as your weight loss. I'm woring on being more like you. You know...a "be the change you want to see" kind of approach to living.

Still cant stop laughing at your profile picture, I saw it just now in the forums and had to come by and comment again!

@sk1nny - that is really interesting. I've never heard about brushing. I wonder if that would work for me? Skin is getting VERY loose (even behind the ears, as you see...). :)

@sunshine: I'm happy to entertain. As Petuniak said, it's important that we take a moment to have some fun and a laugh. Laughing is healthy, and a place like this can get too serious and grown up real fast. I vote that we all take a day off and act like we're 12.

I second that motion!!

I came here to catch up on your week, say hi and to comment on those who seem to like to turn everything into some sort of personal crusade. But I have yet again learned from your journal...dry brushing! Wait til I tell hubby....he'll be rushing out into the garage for a broom and some WD40! Well lets face it, some of us still need a larger brush to shift the larger amounts of fat..... and sharing the task could be a bit of fun lol! Congrats on the lowest ever weight, thanks for sharing the photo's. I do intend to post pictures of me, I have a good before shot, just waiting for the half way point (hopefully in time for Christmas) and then the grand finale....after shot! Til then XX

@DI - I'll be looking forward to it. :) Make sure you get the odor free WD40. :)
