Different strokes for different folks. She manages her health by not eating much, it comes naturally to her, eats like a bird. Eats cake like a bird 🙄. She also doesn't think we need to look good, it's a whole thing.

I have a friend like that. He struggles with her to eat healthy for the kids. she's skinny fat. Enjoy your time eating what you need to feel good and stay healthy.

My husband won't eat healthy either but he does have metastatic cancer so I have to usually lump it. He wants what he likes which doesn't often seem to be raw veggies which I like. I must admit that I would eat a lot less if not for hubby. I ate like a bird too for most of my life until I had to retire. No time to eat. So I do understand both view points.

It happens! I thought I ate well in my early teens (I actually didn’t, looking back) and ate far worse than that freshman year of high school. I went on an unhealthy “diet” and lost weight at an unhealthy pace for a teenager, but a perfectly reasonable pace by adult standards, as in, down from 115 pounds in 8th grade to 105 in 9th grade. If you are a teenager who is not that chubby, yes I’m 5’1, lol at 10 lbs in one year. By adult standards, that’s more than fine, and even losing that much in months would be fine by adult standards. I was done growing physically, but not done becoming a more mature person, so…also I was eating unhealthy foods but less, skipping meals a lot, and overexercising. Yes, skipping meals by accident is fine at any age, and doing it on purpose is fine if you are an adult or a very overweight teenager, but…I wasn’t either, just a little chubby for 8th grade and slim by adult standards.

*yes I was one of those teenagers who “ate junk but was thin” in 9th grade and only a little bit chubby in 8th grade, but I did it on purpose, and some adults secretly do it on purpose too…

That’s the same with me. We have brunch planned tomorrow but I’ll order healthy off of the breakfast menu. Fruit eggs and rye toast. We did Pequods last month and it was worth it. Lol. They really have a special pie here in Chicago

Siegels, that makes sense! As long as shes healthy, right? I understand the eat like a bird now, after years of struggling with binge eating disorder. A little food makes me full and my appetite is much smaller.
