Asarver's Journal, 04 January 2015

WOO. 4 days without soda done and done. Awesome. Also, day 4 of trying to eat healthier (a.k.a dieting) done and done. I'm also back into the 153's which is nice. I'll be excited when I'm back under 150.

I went to the mall today. Which is just completely full of tempting food (not to mention alll of the soda machines that are everywhere). But I'm proud to say that I did not give into tempation. YUP! No soday, no annie anne's pretzels (oh geez, the hardest part), nothing! I bought myself some nice smelling soap from bath and body, a frozen coffee mug from the disney store, and got some more puppy food for the puppy.

We also went for a run this morning, gave the dog a bath, cleaned up the back yard and went to walmart to get some stuff.

All in all, I have to say today was a pretty productive day.

Hey Asarver I'm calling you out for referring to eating healthier as "dieting." It seems to me that the more we refer to sensible eating as "dieting" the more challenging we make it for ourselves because we all know how we feel about dieting. Let's be positive and call it what it is "GOOD FOOD!"

BUT BUT BUT.... I don't wanna eat healthy *angry face*. I know I should think of it as good food, or eating healthier, but I LOVE THE BAD FOOD. Which makes me think that the good food really isn't that good. :(

You'll see that if you stick with the good food long enough, (unprocessed, fruits and vegetables etc) your taste buds adjust and what was once plain to the taste becomes very savory and you no longer need the decadent flavours of the junk food. (not that they are not still VERY enjoyable, but you just don't crave it - except when you start again having them too often in your diet)
