Picture this. A wrestling match. Two opponents circling each other in the ring..sizing each other up..and taking one step forward, going in for a punch..and bam! one of them gets hit right between the eyes just when they thought they'd figured out the other!!!

Well folks, that's me and my body. Oh the games we play!!! As of this week, I thought I'd drink plenty of water, eat low carbs and low points, and workout hard...and I should see the weight drop, right? Well, after a perfect day of just that yesterday, despite my prediction of a pound lost, I didn't see any drop this morning! Such was my surprise. I think my body's getting confused with mixed messages daily. Tryign to figure out what I'm gonna do to it next, and feed it next--or not! Sunday was somewhat high points and carbs. Monday was a fast. Tuesday was perfect with low points, some good carbs (couscous), and 3 hours of exercise...and plenty of water all day..and yet no loss this morning!!! So now I'm trying to size up my body's trickery..what the hell is it's deal?! Perhaps it was the fact that I didn't drink enough water last night after working out? And had a substantial meal of scrambled egg with a light flatout and sour cream etc.? This morning and all day today I'm definitely retaining water...as much as 3 pds!!

Just to mix all this up and throw a new curveball to my body and shake off the stubborn plateau at 136.2, and also because I felt frustrated and devil-may-care, I decided to indulge in some no-no items...and not working out either!

Meals today:
Breakfast: few carrots and light veggie ranch dip
coffee with cream
lunch: veggie burger on a roll with mayo
coffee with cream...
maybe it was the roll but all of a sudden i started to get a strong craving for some dessert or carbs! I avoided that, but did succumb to a chinese-food temptation for dinner
Dinner: brown rice with zen kung pao chicken (all soy and veggies)

Need to drink two large bottles of water to hopefully flush out the salt.

Tomorrow is fast day. I am going to stop my coffee intake entirely (that means no cream either!), and switch to green tea to keep me awake and stimulated and kick up the metabolism. I am also going to try and add in protein mix and soy milk to keep my nutrition fueled and keep the metabolism going.

Well, I hope something cracks! I keep trying to stay one step ahead and try to make my body work, but I keep losing!!!

Probably is some water retention. DON'T succumb to wanting to eat goodies! Stay on track and you WILL lose weight. You are doing SO well, Girlfriend. Take a deep breath and keep on keepin' on. You've come a long way, Baby!! YOU have LOST pretty near FORTY-TWO POUNDS! I'd say that's pretty awesome! :-)

Yes! You've come a very long way!!! Keep trying different methods, something is bound to work! Try giving yourself a few more days to see results! Now that you're plateuing (sp?) it's going to take longer (maybe a few weeks) to see results you put in weeks ago. It'll go down! Don't discourage yourself!
