I've been feeling somewhat the same way this week. I think that's probably normal, sometimes we just want to say the heck with all this and not have to keep up the discipline. I know for me when I go off plan and eat stuff I normally don't that means significantly more carbs, my body reacts to that quickly by holding on to more water and there's an immediate gain in weight. Maybe that's what you're seeing in the gain. Hang in there, you'll get past the frustration and feel more ready to move ahead.

I came to the realization that I will forever have to watch what I eat. Once I made peace with that, I felt a lot better. That's why it's so important to make life changes that you can live with and are sustainable. Look at your chart. You are doing amazing. It does suck that we will never be able to just go and eat what we want, but we stick still have things we enjoy. Just not all the time and smaller portions. I guess it's finding a balance once you get to goal. If you go off and have a small gain, just get back on the next day. Most naturally thin people have behaviors that keep them thin (unlike the lucky few genertically). I try to plan in things I enjoy once and while and kick up my exercise or activity for that day to balance it out.

i agree with both jim and suzi, 1.6 pounds up or down can be any little thing. suzi mentioned a key point "i will forever have to watch what i eat" - and if you consider this, look what not watching what we ate got us into. and you had said that "this really bothers me that i have to 'behave' all the time" ... i completely understand ... but suzi also made two other great points, 1. you are doing great, and 2. find the lifestyle change where you can feel like there isn't deprivation. ultimately though, it was "misbehaving" that also probably got us where we are in this journey, yea? dunno ... i think you should be able to treat yourself, but that that does require some planning, that's what i do. i like "misbehaving" ... almost daily ... but i shift things in other places to accommodate. that 1.6 will go down in no time. you have been doing great, you cannot discount all the hard work.
