HI, today feeling sentimental and a bit out of sorts. My last uncle in the family died suddenly and we buried him today. At the funeral met up with cousing who flew over from LA and UK,and in between. It was moving. Then we met up at my Aunty's house for coffee and someone dashed off to a bakery where my Nanna used to buy these awesome milk buns and coconut macaroons and almond macaroons. Needless to say, these goodies have a history in my family and whenever we go visit family abroad we make it a point to take some of these goodies from this bakery with us and we drool over them, freeze them,or let them dry for dunking in coffee. Haha, it was funny to see the cousins happy with their clear plastic bags of these with them...well being part of this tradition, i could not say no and I think I ate half a dozen soft milk buns, they are like a Hawaian sweet bread, someone said. Also had 4 coffees, 3 of them with milk - something i haven't had in over practically 2 months now. I didn't feel like coming into the office but got a msg that something urgent cropped up and I made my way, reluctantly... however it stopped me from more coffees, buns and light fruit cake which I want to eat all afternoon! At office i swtiched t water and peppermint tea and hopefully by the time i get home, the goodies are put away so I don't see them. Have a great weekend. I'll be cooking for 16 people on sunday and if the weather keeps, will setup a table upstairs on the roof.....mother in law invited (wink, wink) and I'm not afraid! tra la la!will report back on Monday folks!Have a good one! btw today I ordered some stuff from flylady.net - only 2 days ago I said i would not shop for anything, but i feel i need the stuff, so now can't wait for my pressies :)!
