JDbowler's Journal, 24 October 2014

Good morning FS friends. Here in Michigan, it's getting to be cold in the morning and warm in the afternoon. It's starting to feel like fall, and it's great. Again, had a late dinner, due to the second job, but no excuses. I still stayed within my budgeted calories for the day and it was a good dinner. I need to get into a better rhythm for the days I have my late job too. Once that happens, no more late dinners. But gotta eat still, I don't want to starve my body.

It's Friday, brings the weekend, and a lot of fun. My wife and I get to go see her brother's band perform tonight. Can't wait. Haven't seen them play in a while. It kind of sucks, because they were the band for our wedding. People are still talking about the band and the music. It's gonna be a lot of fun. It's Halloween themed, so naturally we are dressing up. My wife is going as a witch (one of her favorite costumes, Halloween to her is like Christmas to me) and I am going as the Phantom of the Opera (however, don't ask me to sing).

Tomorrow we get to watch the UofM vs. MSU football game. But lots of things to do before that game starts. Gotta do everything in the one day a week now that I have off, because Sunday brings another work day. I don't mind the 1 day weekends, probably because I like the second job, but it sure does make it hard to get everything done in one day that usually takes two.

Have a great weekend everyone. Go Blue!!!

It sounds like you at least have a good handle on what you need to do even if you don't have a good rhythm yet. I'm with your wife, I love halloween, but we never dress up (my hubby is a stick in the mud), but the kids still do for now. Have fun tonight and tomorrow! You are amazing, you have 1 day off and you still make the time to get things done and have the energy to do extras like go to a game. I love that energy! I wish I could syphon some of it somehow. :)

If you're going to have a late dinner, try having lunch late as well, or just skip breakfast. I usually have 15-16 hours between dinner and lunch the next day. I eat both my meals in an 8 or less hour window. When you eat doesn't matter as much as how much or how often. However, if you are diabetic, disregard.

Halloween is so much fun. Makes you feel like a kid again dressing up. We used to have some great parties with some outrageous costumes. I worked 6 days a week for most of my career and you really do enjoy that one day off. Have a good weekend and enjoy the party.
