HerStrawberri's Journal, 10 June 2011

I was so scared getting on the scale today. I thought for sure I would show a gain, but it was 333.8! YAY!!!!! Next week I should be OUT of the 330s! YAY!!!! This weekend is my partners bday and I'm making her lasagna and a ice cream cake per request sooooo I'm hoping I don't totally blow it. I'm going to have a small piece of both - per request- but that's it. I'm also going to make sure I exercise that day to help offset the extra cals. The cake will be more of a challenge then the lasagna. Anyway, I'm very happy about my loss. =)
333.8 lb Lost so far: 41.2 lb.    Still to go: 148.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Your doing Great!! :D Could you use Skinny cow icecream in the icecream cake? It's lower cal also has a good amount of fiber and protien in it. The fudge brownie flavor is awesome! Lasagna can be pretty healthy too if you stick to portion sizes. Keep workin it! ^.^

Thank you both so much! I wish i COULD use skinny cow ice cream, my partner hates anything that could possible be called a 'diet food'. This is a bday cake so I have to make it exactly the way she wants it. But thank you for the suggestions! I have looked at skinny cow for me, but I'm always afraid if I have a little I will have alot so I just don't really have any. Ice cream is a bad weakness for me. =)

It took me awhile to develop control where icecream, cookies, and cake were involved. I like skinny cow because it comes in little individual cups which helped. I only buy 2-3 cups of it at a time too. And once it's gone, I'll have to wait til the next grocery trip to buy more, so keeping that in mind I usually eat 1/2 a cup, occasionally a whole cup and no more in a day. Greek yogurt is another good sweet icecream like substitute, 249g or 1 cup is a serving. 23 grams of protein and 140 cals. I add splenda, vanilla extract, blueberries/strawberries and it's delicious! this weekend I'm making a Greek yogurt baked cheesecake for my birthday and my friends birthday. Sorry about all the food talk. XD lol. I may be eating healthier, but I still love to eat. lol. And a Very Happy B-day to your partner! ^.^ June is an excellent month to be born in. Though I could be bias. ;) lol

FANTASTIC!!!!! AWESOME! Make some healthy stuff for you too..yes it is her b-day, but you can be good to your self 2. Enjoy those treats, an just plan your day around it. Don't weigh in the next day. You body is not used to eating that stuff, and it will react to it...I found that out. Have a wonderful weekend! I love how your journal is sounding lately!

Thank you jennifer! I'm loving how it is sounding too. I'm really making strides getting away from my 'negitivity'. Or at least I'm trying to. it still sneaks up on me alot. BUT every day is a new day. I made sure i weighed in today in case that food messes up my weight. I haven't had pasta or cake in like 2 months so I'm sure that will show up in lbs. But I'm ready for it. I might account for those cals or something to make sure I don't go over. Not sure but i will be careful. thank you for your post! Have a great weekend!
