Hoffner's Journal, 12 October 2014

yesterday was a BIG Carb day. Started out with a bowl of grits, dry English, strawberry jam and eggs. Tasted good but today I pay the price of working all those carbs out of my body. Once I introduce major carbs, like yesterday, my body goes into those cravings for "Off Limit Foods". I put my note to self back on the frig this morning. It says, "NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS BEING THIN FEELS"! This is my reminder to make good food choices and to rejoice in the progress made toward good health. Stay true all.
132.5 lb Lost so far: 39.5 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

It's tough to resist sometimes. My co-workers bring in donuts and cookies and home-made garlic bread. Why must all the office treats be carb- and sugar-heavy? I find I'm less tempted now than I was a year ago, but I still get those cravings and sometimes I give in. It's okay, tomorrow is another chance to resist.
