Happy morning everyone! I can see my target getting closer and super happy...listening to Robbie Williams album 'Swing both ways' helping the super mood too! hehe 'I wanna be like you' going on as i type from the Jungle Book movie...staying still with it playing in the background is an effort :) i feel like monkeying around! Weekend around the corner, tonight seminar until late but will try to hit gym for a spinning class straight after, all the sitting down today. Fitted into a dress very nicely, I had bought it 2 years ago and thought i would be fitting into it after losing some weight but today i have no regrets...now i know weight loss doesn't happen overnight, no matter how healthy you eat...it's about portion control, eliminating the extras like alcohol, cheese, wine, crunchy bread, a plateful of lovely pasta...it's ok to have once in a while I've learnt but a social life will wreak havoc and put on the pounds in just one night. I think cheese and wine were my culprits so now i keep them for that one-off occasion. I would come home Friday night after work and prepare a cheese platter and a bottle of wine and chillax with hubby..nowadays i go out, would not like to pay the price of a cheese platter, so I say no thank you, and order tonic water....not that i am not tempted to buy 1 glass of red wine which is my fav, but i remind myself I have enough red wine at home and get over it. :) so far it's working and this helped alot in the last 4 weeks...my chart history has been going down consistently with no 2-3 kg increases over the weekend and I'm glad i know what is my pitfall....and admitting to it! After the cheese, the potato chips and the salted peanuts would come out....now i even avoid the clubs which give out the freebies with drinks, whereas before i would go there cos they gave free nibbles. I am still enjoying social life but i feel more in control...and hubby helps cos he's ordering like me, though sometimes he would go for a beer. I buy non-alcoholic beer and also found non-alcoholic shandy and enjoy them at home if I stay in for the weekend to watch a movie or just chill. Sadly i have not found it in bars yet, we used to find it in Munich, Salzburg and Innsbruck(my first experience of non-alcoholic beer, and it tastes great, you don't feel fuzzy after!). Besides i cook my roasts with wine and herbs, no fat, and they taste gorgeous. Alcohol dissipates in cooking so I'm getting the best of both worlds!...and the most important thing also is that i'm doing my shopping...I make a list on Sunday morning and head for the supermarket, spending more on vegs and fruits, meats or fish...the food bill is not cheaper but it's more substantial and less processed food. I still get some for my grown up kids who still don't realise the bad effects (they can take it, cos they burn energy sitting down studying, unlike me )but they have seen quite a change in me and have been remarking so lately :)who knows, my eldest young lady might follow in my footsteps soon! today she offered me biscuits for breakfast, I said no thanks, I'll stick to my fruits in the morning, I get enough of a sugar kick and I love it! and after all this ranting, just realised I hit the BLUE LINE finally!
114.6 lb Lost so far: 21.6 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
