I HAVE LOST MY MIND!! The last week has been full of all kinds of crazy food, activities, work, etc. I started celebrating my daughter's HS graduation and have not stopped. Jumped on my scale this morning and almost fainted--what was I expecting?? I completely wiped out all weight loss since I rejoined FatSecret.

So, here I am, confessing my sins and starting over. Forgive me--I know exactly what I did and need to get back on track. This is June 1st. I am revising goals and getting back to work.

No you didn't, you're overreacting. When you're on a low-carb diet & you go buck wild on carbs, you retain water like crazy. I've gained as much as 9 lbs in 4 or 5 days but it was back off in 9 days of being back to my regular low carb diet. Just get back on track & you'll be fine.

Forgive yourself and get back on the wagon. It is going to happen now and then. We are human after all.

Push the water, Angel. Eat like you know you should. Not a biggee - this is a lifestyle, not a diet. Remember, this has to work for the rest of your life. You are going to have celebrations. You are going to have tough times. You are going to have a life. Eating is only part of it, and you get to make the decisions as to what is more important at that time. After the day or week, month or year, you always know you can return to your healthier lifestyle. You will feel better, physically and mentally, for it. And, forgiveness, for yourself, is so much better than beating yourself up. Why do that? It only hurts you. There are enough others out there to do that, don't do it to yourself.

Hey...it's life..and life has times that demand celebrating.. Just drink that water water water... and in no time it will be "back to your regularly scheduled program" This is not diet jail... it is for life...not just for loss. No big whoop! :)

I've done that also; gained 5 pounds over a couple days! But like others have said it is a lot of water retention, get back to drinking a lot of water and cut out salt and salty foods and go pure non carb and your body will know what you are trying to get it to do and get back into the swing of things.
