kimberly rae's Journal, 09 July 2014

Doing my challenges well but have not lost a pound. No dairy, wheat or sugar for two weeks today. Walking 30 minutes every day. (Missed only two days) I'm still aware that the salt and corn and potatoes are also causing a slow down but am not too worried about it. Probably my biggest fault has been not drinking enough water. I haven't been regular at all! and wish to let go of much more, more easily. I'm going to begin today to incorporate. psyllium and cranberry juice morning and night and see if that will clean me out.
Regardless of my weight staying the same, I've been growing in awareness of my body and still think that that is the most important aspect of this whole thing. I stopped recording everything I ate but have been very aware of my calories. I'm not binging. My waist is going in a bit. I can tell that. And my pants fit better. The swelling around my upper arms and face seem to have gone down. I'm eating very healthy. I'm not giving up. I am staying the course. The old me would give up. The new me wont. I know I'm walking out of a tough period into better times.
188.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 29.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Those pants are telling you two things, you are on the right track! Good job.

Oops. And get some new pants!

Yeah, I think buying new pants is one of those things that I can tell myself to remind myself to keep going! (Good idea @downbythesea!) The water is also a good reminder. I actually (eek) bought some plastic bottled water for work. The water at work comes out of the drinking fountain and is NOT clear! Ew! So rather than carting glass bottles back and forth and rinsing them out, I just got a package of them. It is so not on my "no plastics" routine, but water is important too.

I think that you should be proud of yourself. That is great, Kim! I wish that I could walk with you every day. That would be awesome.

The turtle wins the race. I like the reminder about water. What do u think about cider vinegar (1 T) in water? Jacob recommended it for weight loss. I said I'd try it for a week. But will remember, lots of water also. Love ya, k

I was curious as to why someone would add cider vinegar in their water and I found out that people think it give them a feeling of being full but over time it wears on teeth enamel… http://www.webmd.com/diet/apple-cider-vinegar?page=2
