Was I disappointed by the results of the weigh in this morning? I'd be lying if I said that my initial reaction wasn't enthusiasm. I had done really well on sticking to my plan over the past 6 weeks of the "Trust Fall" challenge, and I guess I was hoping for too much.

But, then I got ticked off...but not because of the results, but because my reaction started to be one of disappointment. Over the past 6 weeks, I have found so many OTHER ways to feel GOOD about myself...why in the world was I letting this frickin' scale change that? Stupid.

Since mid-February, I have lost 4 pounds and 2% body fat (now at 18%). In the past 6 weeks, I have increased the amount of push-ups that I can do in 4-minutes from 48...to 79! I fit in clothes that I couldn't wear even BEFORE my last pregnancy. So why in the world was this number on the scale getting me down...even if just for a moment.

That's it. I won't let it. Who the hell came up with this 'goal weight' anyway? Oh...yeah...me.

So you know what...I'm changing my goal weight to what I weighed in at this morning. I am SO happy with myself right now that I'm not going to put any more pressure on myself to lose. I look great. I feel great. And I'm still improving.

Good bye scale. Good bye goal. But rest assured that I'm still gonna give it hell in the gym. I'm going to continue to eat sensibly. And I'm going to wear more sleeveless shirts this year :-)

Thanks again, Yolanda, for such an amazing challenge! It's been a real eye opener. I wish others would experience this perspective shift.

I've got 6 more weeks to go on the "4-Minute Push-Up Challenge". I'm still amazed at the progress I've made in that one, too!

I had the same reaction! But, then I went to my closet and found this tiny blue dress that I had bought months ago and have never been able to fit in and it zipped right up!!! I had tried the dress on before the challenge and couldn't even get the zipper half way up. I'm only showing a 1.8 pound loss but that dress zipped right up like it was made for me. *F* that scale!

Reading this post made me feel tons better - I was feeling down because i've been trying to eat right and going to the gym and i haven't lost a single pound! but I think i'll take the tiny dress test and see how i feel after that. a number is just a number right?

That's the spirit Mgrill! Don't let the scale dictate how you feel about yourself! That's what I've learned in the past 6 weeks. :D

Great attitude change! If you feel great and you look great, you ARE great, no matter what the scale says! Congrats on the sleeveless shirts - can't wait until I get to that point!

Nothing tells the tale like your clothes! Say it loud, "Fit, fine and I'm proud!" Looks like you are officially in maintenance-mode. WooHoo!

Congrats to you! How you feel and fit into clothes says tons more than the scale! Keep with your plan!!

Standing Ovation!! That's why my goal weight is whatever weight I am. I am at the perfect weight for me... and so are you. Today. Cannot worry about tomorrow or next week, month, year. Today is all we have. Congratulations! Now go show off those guns!

You can now add "faster" to this list of accomplishments, too. I tried again at my 20-minute treadmill run. Beat the last attempt by 0.02 miles, and a new personal record of 2.15 miles in 20 minutes. Scale didn't tell me that, did it?!?!
