This is slow work! I am still drinking wine though. just cutting out sweets and carbs too when I can. Yesterday I had one piece of cake at a luncheon. nothing else different.
154.0 lb Lost so far: 4.0 lb.    Still to go: 6.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 0.5 lb a week

Well the fact that you have very little to lose is most likely the culprit for slow weight loss. But alcohol can also slow it. But look at it this way, better to enjoy life/food and lose slowly than deprive yourself, binge and gain it back.

I drink only on occasions but why don't you try a wine spritzer use flavored water or seltzer every so often until you lose what you want.
