"I changed nothing, upped my exercise". Changing your exercise (by increasing or doing new activities) can cause muscle edema. Your muscles retain water to help them heal. When I lift weights or start new exercise, I can gain 4 or 5 pounds in temporary water weight. Google "why the scale lies". It will explain how many things can effect our water weight when we do everything right. It's temporary and you just have to push through. You will start dropping again.

Oh, thanks, Suzi. I added a significant amount of cardio this week and have been more sore than usual. So that makes sense. I hope you're right!

Oh no! I hate when that happens! Don't Give Up!!! Like Suzi said, it's temporary. You've been working hard, it will pay off; even if it is next week that the scale tells you so. :) I have been hanging around the same number for over 3 weeks and have felt like giving up, too. But I stayed with it (with a few cheat days). :) Hang in there!
