orcaprice's Journal, 28 March 2014

Well I screwed up the last two weeks. Didn't eat well, binged a couple days. Was sick for 3 days and didn't work out for 5 days. Excuses excuses...bottom line I gained 2.8 pounds. I have my kids coming in the end of April and I want very badly to be in a 14. So I gotta really kick into gear this next 30 days. I will be walking, talking and praying this diet and exercise program. I need all the help I can get...I am so ashamed for them to see me this big.

One thing we all have to remember is that our body size is not who we are so there is NO SHAME. Your kids are coming to see YOU - I bet they don't give a flip what your dress size is. Our weight does impact our overall health and it is from this perspective you should be looking at your journey. While the kids visiting is a great motivation, you can also be motivated by the progress you make, by reaching small goals one at a time, and by recognizing how much better you feel through each accomplishment. So kick that shame away right now, keep your head up and your goals will become closer each day - stick with it and stay postive! Polyanna out :-)

I second that. Your children love you for who you are, not what size clothes are on your body :)

No shame! I also gained this week. I am sure (hoping!!) that it is all part of the process.
