Thats exactly what I did. If you notice my weight history, I ended up going up a few pounds in a matter of days, and that was due to weight training. You tend to retain a lot of water when you are weight lifting, because the muscles need the water to help repair yourself. Ever since I stopped, I've been dropping weight rapidly. I intend to continue weight lifting when I'm closer to my goal. For now I just do toning exercises.

Wow, never thought of that. My muscles have been hinting at the fact they need to rest and repair. That must be why I had a gain.

Yes, your muscles retain water, but it's temporary. Don't stop! As you build muscle, you will lose fat and get leaner. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn at rest, the more weight you lose and the easier maintaining will be. When you lose weight, you lose muscle along with water and fat. Getting plenty of protein and working out will help you keep the muscle. Plus, when you don't work out, you have a higher chance of being really jiggly wiggly when you get to goal, lol! So focus on fat loss and not just the scale. The weight lifting eventually kicks in and you will lose.
