Hoffner's Journal, 06 December 2013

Gained a lb. I went against my self imposed eating time frame yesterday and ate dinner after 6:00. Since I started this journey my rule has been to eat nothing after 5:00. I had squash with onions which has more carbs than I normally eat in the evening. I attempt to get my foods with higher carb count in during early day. Only walked 1 day this week and that is a NO NO! Today is going to be better...each new day gives me another chance to right things and it will not be wasted. "Pep talks help so much, even when I'm giving them to myself."
137.0 lb Lost so far: 35.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 7.0 lb a week

Feretina you are such a good buddy...always there with a positive! Please tell me if its possible to send a buddy a message with it not being a "private message." Is there some magic way I dont know about? Seems as if I should be able to click on your name in my buddies list, write and send...not so or at least I dont know how. Have a wonderful, successful day!

Hah! Just saw your query! It makes perfect sense to click and type and send....however, that does not seem to be the case. I either reply to comment or private message. Only 2 ways I know how at this point, but maybe the powers that be could make a few adjustments. They are quick to reply when I need help. Let's ask. And I wish we could hit send to all our buddies and do an easy mass mailing of encouragement...but I guess they figure if you journal then your buddies read it. I am glad you know what works for your body and have the tenacity to keep it up or adjust accordingly. I do not. Maybe one day I will learn the secret and have the tenacity you do, but my kids are home and my husband does not want to change. I am working up with a trainer 2x a month and dong my own hard core routine the other times. Muscles are coming along and soon maybe the fat will give up! Hahaha

Just saw your message... for now this will be how I contact you. Many ways to solve a problem. A trainer sounds great and I would love to have one, but my exercise consist of walking 1 hour, 4 time a week or more if needed. That gets me a little over 3 miles/walk. Good you are working on the muscles as you go as to reduce the wrinkles that occur with wt. loss. My joke was that I would be glad when it all, meaning my skin, would go ahead and head south so I could tuck it into my socks...not so funny now..44 lbs later. You do have the tenacity to keep it up and stay of goal. You have proven that by making the decision to lose wt. Its for sure we cant change anyone but ourselves and you are on a positive track!

Thanks for the feedback and encouragement. I know I can do better. Sometimes the easy way is just more appealing...then the after-effects are not so good!
