Good morning! Back up 1/2 pound - yo-yo! :) Bought a pedometer and walked at sports practice last night. OMG - my knees and feet are aching today! Been working out every day for 3 weeks and 2 hours of just walking kills me - just goes to show you need to mix it up a bit! Got my son's bloodwork done without him passing out - thank heaven for the lab with the reclining chair! Today is son's dermatologist and daughter's dentist appt. And boy scouts. Supposed to have new microwave installed today too.
Joined a new challenge starting end of the week - 10,000 steps - has anyone done this? I was walking last night to see how long it took and it took me over 2 hours of walking to hit 10,000. Today I am going to wear the pedometer during the day to see how many steps I get in during the regular day. I might not be able to stand after yesterday! Wondering if pedometer is too cheap and even working properly....
I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of you here on FS! Really look forward every day to reading how you are all doing and hearing from you - thanks for all of your support - I think you're all fantastic!

You might be surprised at how many steps you get in a day, just doing your normal routine! Even more important than a good pedometer are good shoes! They make all the difference in how you feel after long walks. My pedometer is the Omron-112 (I think) and it's great. Happy walking!

That seems to be the one that everyone recommends - I'm going to order it!
