UPDATE FROM A VERY COLD PLACE We set a record today for coldest Feb 11 in 116 years. I decided I had to get outside no matter what and stuck to it. Being inside for so long is not great and we will not get warmer temps to next week sometimes. No running for me. But I walked for an hour. Very tucked in. probably burned more calories getting dressed than the walking Weight a bit up. Having trouble getting into exercising but I try something every day. I am not worried about it. I am not overeating so it is just adjusting to a bit less activity. I will get more active when possible I guess.

We miss our Canadian friends here in AZ this year. Hopefully, we're turning the corner and next winter will be more like a normal season. In the meantime, stay warm!

I am sure a lot of Canadians are missing their snowbird trips as well. It is warm inside... but skin freeze in seconds outside.

Oh my gosh! We're whining like babies here because it's 27f and freezing rain. I've never been anywhere that was as cold as you've got! I'm amazed you walked in it!!!! You burn more calories when you're cold! brrrrrrr!!!! ❄❄❄❄

It is a bit draining. It has been like this for almost a week and will continue till next Thursday maybe. Inside is fine but very very dry. I think I should get a humidifier going tomorrow for a bit. All windows are frozen shut so no fresh air.

I had to look up the coldest winter in my area (Portland, OR) since I was born. It was 2F when I was 5 yrs old. The coldest it's been here in the past 30 years was 15F in 2009. But there is a town in Oregon called Seneca that holds a record for being the coldest place in the contiguous US on 20 different nights. It got as low as -54F between July 1 - Jun 30 2016. I just still can't imagine it Liv!!!

The second positive is that the temp unit (Celsius vs Fahrenheit) doesn't matter at -40 degrees. 🤣🙃

A humidifier is a great idea! I tend to get sinus infections when the air is dry, so they definitely help!

How are you still alive? It is 55 and I have a sweatshirt on and two pairs of socks and I am still cold! Please be careful and don’t go out if you don’t have to. YIKES! SCARY!
