kingkeld's Journal, 10 October 2013

Good morning.

I'm sorry I wasn't here yesterday. It was another hard, busy, stressful and very rough LONG day. Phew. I'm glad it's over with.

Things here are looking a little bit brighter, there is now light at the end of the tunnel, and it doesn't seem like it's from an oncoming train, which is nice. :)

I'm down in weight. Actually, I am the lowest I have been in about a month. It's a good feeling.

It's been hard to maintain proper form when it comes to my food choices, but I have actually pulled through 100%.

I haven't had any sugar, candy, ice cream (not counting the sugar free and fat free one) or chocolate for 10 days now, and I can CLEARLY tell that the sugar cravings are weeking off slowly.

I simply don't really think about it. It's nice, and something less to stress about.

When I eat right (IE no sugar loaded stuff) then I have no problems sticking to my 2500 calorie RDI.

These last days have been so stressful for us. So much on our plates (figuratively speaking) and they have really been pulling teeth.

I'm happy to say that I slept great last night, and that today feels entirely different. It's a very different Keld that people see today compared to yesterday. I like that.

Today is easy. Wife is home sick, part of the whole thing bugging us, so there is no Cake Day. That's a welcome change for me. I don't want the cake, and there is no temptation. I have a protein shake that I'll have as a snack this afternoon, and there will be fruit. Much better.

Other than that, it's a long day at work, I have plenty to do to occupy myself, and it should be pretty easy going all the way. I welcome it.

Today, I'm thankful for:
- Sleep. Sleep. Sleep.
- Morning coffee.
- The outlook to an easier day and better times coming.
- Wife.
- No cake day.

Life is good!

Good morning. I am not caught up on your life as I've been away. Just wanted to say I'm glad you are managing to wean off the sugar, and happy that your weight is cooperating. Sorry that you and your wife are under such an extreme stress load and hope that the situation changes soon. I'll catch up properly over the next few days but in the mean time, congrats on getting control of the sugar monster :)

Relieved to see you here today - couldn't find your journal yesterday and thought I'd been unbuddied! Good to know every Thursday doesn't have to be cake day - while saying 'no' to sugar will always be 'our' responsibility it's good to have a break from having to say it sometimes.

Down in weight and lots of sleep make Keld a happy camper! Keep up the good work and inspiration to us all about avoiding the sugar. I read that just as I passed up the dreaded candy as I try to IF until lunch time today. Hope your wife feels better soon.
