MrsTofu's Journal, 17 December 2010

Today is surreal. I actually did it (staying within my calorie budget)! I didn't think it was possible, but by being very, very careful I managed to do it. Now that I have seen that it's doable for me, hopefully I will start making some serious progress. Work out today was intense. I had wanted to do more, but I only was able to jog and work on leg presses. I was kind of disappointed that I wasn't able to push 150lb. I got 4 reps in barely before dropping the weight down to 130lb. Even then I got two sets in and had to drop 10lbs to do the last set. After all of that my legs felt like taut rubber bands. Also I don't think I've ever experienced that before where I could feel my legs starting to buckle under my own weight from just trying to walk. I'm amazed I could actually walk under my own power after that.

5 things that I am grateful for:

-My family (especially my husband and daughter).
-Having a home.
-Romans 8:28.
-I live in a country- where at least for the time being- I have the freedom to practice my faith without fear of violence against me or political persecution.
-I am not a victim of circumstances, I am free to be and do better today than I was or did yesterday.

hang in there! Calorie counting can get tiring after a while but just do your best! Keep going, I've never worked out for over a week in my entire life and I did it this week! And the result is amazing! Its tiny noticable but I can tell the way my body feels. I feel stronger and stronger everytime I excerise and you will too! :-)
