I'm feeling a bit despondant this morning as I've regained a pound and I thought I'd done OK with my calories this week. However, I've done enough "weight-watching" over the years to know that this is just the way it goes sometimes and the only thing to do is stick with it. Onwards and upwards. :-)
177.4 lb Lost so far: 1.0 lb.    Still to go: 19.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

you know this gain is not permanent. you will get it off. I have tried weight training. I have tried running. but only effective thing was brisk walk n the touch of light jogging. i actually some time loose 200 grams after treadmill. I have started from 10 minutes on treadmill. now I can do 60 minutes and 6 km. n it's working good enough to encourage me. some one here was doing 10-12 km walk or brisk walk n they lost 10 kg in 40 days. so impressed. so good luck 👍

Most likely water weight, it takes a while to gain 0.5 kg of fat!

Thanks for all the support and wise words. I've been out for a 5 mile walk in the Yorkshire Dales near where I live and am feeling a lot better. It's so easy to let the scales decide the mood but sometimes the best thing to do is just ignore them. :-)

Ooo wow Amanda you live in a beautiful place. And then did 5 miles. Not easy 🤪. Well done He he. And you are right scale just some time demotivating. I don't check my weight until I feel the difference. Otherwise you feel like what's the point. Though it may be reducing some where inside.

Amanda don’t worry too much about the reading as it varries from day to day. How big are your portions? I found if I stick to 350gr portion I do ok but what I found works for me at the moment is no breakfast Monday, Wednesday and Friday so from 8pm in the evening till 12.30 next day no food just water, tea, coffee, orange juice. My husband joined me on this one and lost weight. But not only the loss counts here also giving your stomach a rest!!!
