Don't fall off the exercise wagon regardless of your circumstances. my husband got hurt in May (needing a wheelchair for a number of weeks and ultimately 3 months to recover), and my routine went out the window. there were other health factors of my own, but the upshot is that it was open season on eating whatever. Then we went to wine country--they should call it "food & wine country." So we ate, drank, and made merry in Napa/Sonoma. However, ya gotta get off that ride eventually. Sadly, I've stuggled with weight since early childhood can't afford to get on it in the first place. no I'm not morbidly obsese, but I am 20 lbs heavier than I was in the 5th grade, which was not good even at 5'6" (ok, I was a tall kid). The low 150s was also my heaviest adult weight for years, tho I did get down to 142 - 145 for about 5 years. At this point, I will be just fine at 160 (please god) but it will be a long road back paved with a lot of vegetables, fruits, and portion counting. not to mention getting on the scale more often and staying on my old routine of working out 4-5 days a week if not more!
