Freedom. That is where I am now. Knowing that I can gain a few pages without fearing that I'll never lose it. To know that I can cheat, and get back 'on track.' To know that I can change my eating habbits and continue to lose weight.

I am also learning that sometimes weight gain is just water retention, or a stall. It is not failure.

I've been dieting for 4 months. June 1 to October 6 - about 125 days. This averages 10lb a month even though I've stalled twice. I stalled for 3 - 4 weeks about once a month. Then I would drop almost 10lb in a stretch.

June5 - June 22
July 23 - Aug 8
August12 - Aug 31
Sept 7 - Sept 20
Sept 28 - Oct 8

I have come to believe that each person's body has a natural rythm that they need to find. They have a natural calorie intake, different diet needs. They also lose differently. Some people move steadily down no matter how many calories they eat, or what they eat. Others eat less, but cheat less often.

I've basically had the same calorie intake over the four months, and found that what I ate didn't have as much to do with losing pounds and inches and my body's natural rhythm and balance.
174.8 lb Lost so far: 20.2 lb.    Still to go: 24.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

And isn't that a valuable life lesson to learn? Congrats on learning it. Its so true, one slip doesn't mean you won't get back up. The wagon is always there for us to climb on, climb off or fall off - LOL. So near to your goal - woot woot

LOL thanks. Sorry for not replying sooner, I didn't see this one. It is so amazing that we are 'heavy' because of WHAT we eat - not how much.
