I LOVE BLACK EYED PEAS

Amy's
Brown Rice Black-Eyed Peas and Veggies Bowl is an entree I tried yesterday for lunch and absolutley loved it!

Dr. Shapiro writes in his book "Picture Perfect Weight Loss" In Praise of Beans: Beans offer the person trying to lose weight double the benefits. First they are low in fat and packed with nutrients: fiber, phytochemicals, folate, protein, magnesium, potassium, zinc, copper, iron and vitamins. Second, the potential they offer for culinary creativity is as staggering as their variety. From Cuban black beans and rice to Indian dal (lentils), from Israeili hummus (chickpeas) to Egyptian foole (fava beans)--- Not to mention all the old American standbys such as baked beans, chili, and navy bean soup-you can a different bean dish virtually every night of the week.

I have been listening to my tummy and feeding it to that special comfort level of satisfied. In finding my favorite types of foods that are yummy and help sustain my satisfaction over longer periods of time. I have found that beans are one of my favorites!

Today was a high energy day for me and it was very nice. I tripped on a curb and wobbled to catch my balance as I stumbled and managed to correct myself without falling or hurting myself! Yes today was a good day. TOWANDA!!!

Love it... Change your mind, change your body, change yourself, change your life! Thanks Information:)

LOL about the song!! Wouldn't it make a great theme song for weight loss?? ...You've also got me thinking about doing a beef chili with kidney beans in the slow cooker today...Thanks for sharing the info about beans...I didn't realize how low calorie/high nutrition they were!! True enough, because this recipe from "Prevention Mag" lists 260 cals, 9 g fibre, 19g protein. It's such a blessing to be home and have time to cook satisfying meals. It really does make for a good day!! Lately I've discovered a probiotic Greek nonfat yogurt by the brand Liberte which has 20g of protein (!!) and 110 cals per serving. It's made in Quebec Canada, but perhaps there are similar kinds in the USA?? I love it for breakfast with sliced strawberries. ;) (On WW, 1.5 cups of strawberries count as only 1 food point). Have a lovely day Lisa, and keep the volume turned up!!

FF, yes, I love the Greek nonfat yogurt and will absolutely bring it back into my home as it has been a while. I was using it as another one of those foods that keep me satisfied for longer periods of time and it is awesome and so versatile! The volume is turned up .. I woke up early this morning and am feeling so good! I am basking in the sunlight of life and am enjoying my days for I can't wait for them to begin and hate to see them end! I realize I need my sleep for energy but Life is wonderful once you change your mind that you don't have to struggle! TOWANDA!!!

I love all beans to and agree that they are among the most healthy and satisfying foods. I often overeat the foods that have them and they do have quite a few (good) calories. Have a great day Lisa! :-)
