POWENCH's Journal, 26 August 2008

I was REALLY hoping for a better loss this week. I stuck to the plan and upped the exercise. This is where the science and reality of weight loss don't jive and become counter intuitive.

It takes a supposed 3500 calorie deficit to lose a pound. According to the science... I should have lost at least 4 pounds this week. And I am sorry, I DID NOT CHEAT. I worked hard in exercise and did not go over my points, or even the calories for that matter. And for all that I lose a very small depressing half a stinking pound.

So you can take all your &%@$% diet science and SHOVE IT. There is no science, it makes no sense why I weigh what I weigh while people who do half of what I do are skinny as hell and eat what they want.

From the time I was a kid people have been telling me LIFE IS NOT FAIR, so live with it....well maybe someday I will believe it, but today I just want to cry...and shake my fist...I did everything I was supposed to and I still did not win.
233.0 lb Lost so far: 11.0 lb.    Still to go: 58.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Keep going - it's because you upped your excercise that it doesn't seem that you are losing weight fast enough. You are building muscle and it weighs more than fat. A good idea is be to measure yourself as well - you are losing inches.

Oh don't give up, I know how frustrating it can be but focus in on the positives....YOU'VE LOST!! its not an easy thing to do. I used to be a professional dancer and with that came an eating disorder. So, years on I distroyed my metablism and now find losing weight the hardest thing to do. Not only do I have to lose but at the same time be in the right head space. Being on this site really helps you, knowing there is people out there going through the same thing makes me feel i'm not alone. Keep going, you can do it!!!! :)

Let's see. Five pounds in less than a month. That is a very good result for most people. I will take it from you if you don't want it. LOL.
