redwinelover's Journal, 02 August 2010

Actually thought it would be more, even with the increase in intense exercise (Insanity). That's okay, I'm sure it'll keep dropping until I get where I want to be.

My "little" brother is coming out to see me for my birthday later this month! I'd JUST been thinking I really wished he'd be coming out soon, but didn't think he'd come out when he's planning on being here for Thanksgiving. He texted me yesterday and asked if it'd be okay if his boss will give him a day or two off. OKAY?? It would be awesome! So that's something great to look forward to. I always have a good time with my brother. He's the one that came out for his birthday in April and we went out for drinks a couple of times, and went to a bar on Mill Ave and drank beers from around the world. It was fun. This is also the brother that DIDN'T notice I'd lost weight - nor my daughter's weight loss. But we forgave him since obviously he just sees "US" and not how we look on the outside. :) My only concern will be keeping up the workout schedule, and both workouts I'm currently doing (Insanity and Slim in 6) are a 6 day per week commitment. I know I'll be hungover more than once when he's here. But I've proven to myself that I CAN workout later in the day. (I wasn't "able" to do that before - if it hit noon and I hadn't worked out, I'd most likely blow it off. Not anymore)

So this will be a busy month. Both kids have birthdays (17th and 26th), our wedding anniversary (21st) my birthday and my brother's visit. And the kids start classes this month, too.

Enough "fun"...time to do Day 5 of Insanity, then pop in the Slim in 6 dvd if I can still stand...

hmmm...day 5 was strictly abs. I couldn't do one of the moves at all, but did the rest mostly. No calorie burn to speak of - 80? I'm so surprised. Well, going to go do the Slim in 6. I don't think it's a big calorie burner, either, though. (later)...I was right, very little calorie burn. Going to shower and go shopping. Feeling frustrated right now for some reason... Boy, one extreme to the other. Compulsive AND moody?? Yikes.

RWL, sounds like a fun and busy month!!! Have a great time, and like info said, I'll bet the measurements are shrinking, even if the weight is slow to follow!! Keep up the great work!!

I redid my post as I was in a bit of a hurry this morning. Anyway, here is the new one: That's enough. As you are aware, muscle (which you are undoubtedly building) weighs five times more than fat by volume (or is it by mass, ;-) ) so you should be looking better. I appreciate the way you express the way your brother "just sees 'US' and not how we look on the outside." Don't I understand that too well. Anyway, it's a great opportunity for you both to be together. Have a great day redwinelover.

Thanks, ctlss :) I think the measurements are shrinking a bit more, but it's hard to measure exactly the same spots each time (other than the waist, it's the easiest for me). But clothes fit differently, so I'm sure I'm shrinking some! lol Candyann - you're pretty supportive! :) We oughta be friends! Info, I understood your drift completely. As much as it upset me initially when my brother failed to notice, I think it's a testament to his spirit :) Thanks. Looks like he may have to put off his visit until Labor Day weekend...oh well. Guess I'll just celebrate my birthday twice! :)
