OK. Finally, I have started to drop some weight. I know that I shouldn't be so focused on the numbers, but realistically how else am I to measure my success. I've made a lot of changes in the way I eat. I haven't had a soda in at least four weeks. YEAH!!! I've started eating more raw veggies, spinach is my favorite. I'm not a big fan of salads so I have to be creative. I am also trying to eliminate as much high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oils from my diet as possible. It's shocking how many items have these products like bread and canned tomatoes, the later was truly a shocker to me.

I'm thinking of doing the master cleanse, but that kinda makes me nervous. I've also thought about the Daniel fast and Ali. However, I know that I need to just slow down and be cautious. My goal it to be healthy above all else, change my eating habits for life and prevent disease and illness.
195.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 45.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I think you are doing great! Awareness of what you are eating, what's in the food, and how much you are eating is one of the main things to having a healthy diet. In my (humble) opinion that's the key to getting to a healthy weight. The quick fixes and extreme measures may be okay if you've exhausted all other things, but what you are doing is more in line with what you can keep up all your life. That, and being active. If you haven't already, try looking at your total sodium, too. That was the real shocker for me! Great job giving up the sodas!!!
