Record low 209.2

I didn't notice until I look at my calendar that I used to track.

Took the new bike out last night. It rides like a dream, the 29er wheels make it like a monster truck, it goes over bumps, rocks, curbs like nothing is there, and it has much better suspension. So it is smoother. I might need to have it tuned up though, maybe sooner rather than later. I dont have a shock pump.. hmm let me check Amazon...

Still having a slight brake dragging issue, and it was not there in the house. I am almost wondering if it is not caused by taking it from AC into the heat. Or heating them up. Its much less than the other day. And did not stop the wheel from spinning when spun.

I am having a bit of an issue adjusting to the bike. I favor my old bike. Mainly because of gearing. On my old bike I stayed in 6-7 gears on my middle sprocket. On this bike, the gears aren't numbered, and I cannot find a "sweet spot". So it is either too easy, or too hard to pedal, and not "just right" like goldilox!

Anyway, weight loss is going good, diet is fine, I am on a roll there. Probably big salad today to get my body kicked into high gear this week.

Off to work!!

Nice! I love new lows. I prefer slimmer tires but then I like to cruise... So glad you are enjoying it! Give kitty a pet for me... Mine is camped on my lap now.

Congrats on the new low, JP! It's a good feeling! I'm sure the bike will adjust to you (or is it the other way around?), once you have had it for a little while. You've spent so much time with Goldilox that you are used to all the little details and quirks of it. I bet you the new one will be as good in a month. :)

Heidijoy, I cruise too, mainly sidewalks and streets and hardpack desert. The problem here is that rocky terrain, and there is much more garbage (glass, nails, etc) than you can imagine. So I cant imagine a road bike here with those tiny tires. I may get slick type tires that are thinner for my hybrid use, but the ones on the bike are very much smooth knobbies already. Thanks too Keld, I am sure I will adjust and find the sweet spots on it. I was not able to get a feel last night as I have my usual heat induced tiredness, and being worn out. Friday I will be able to tell, moreso after Ramadan!

WOW...I go on vacation for a week and you drop 7lbs, WTF? AWESOME!! I haven't weighed in, and I'm kind of afraid to...I didn't really watch too closely what I was eating, I didn't go overboard but I'm certain that I exceeded my RDI everyday! Anyway, excellent new low...Congratulations! Later.
