I had a great day food wise up until about dinner - DH had a rough day at work and wanted to go to the Chinese Buffet... which I was not going to turn down, esp. since he was taking me shoe and blouse shopping afterwards for an interview which was awfully sweet.
You'd think I totally fell off the deep end, but I actually did pretty good. I ate a lot of chicken with no breading, beef with no breading, cucumbers and tomatoes, etc... NO rice, noodles. I could not pass up my favorite caramel pecan cheesecake soft serve they have at this place though... so I had a small dish of that. All in all, I had a .6 lb gain, which I was actually expecting more. That half pound should be easy to take off again.
Tonight will unfortunately be met with the same... we are having another couple over and the ladies are making lasagna for the men... it was not my idea BUT I am going to make a large tossed salad so I will try to munch on that instead. Sometimes this diet is such a struggle when it comes to eating out or eating with others.
I did finally just come out and tell my co-worker that I can't do breadstick Thursday anymore. I told her about my diet and she was quite supportive and attentive. That was good. We're having "Salad Friday" instead today. :)
