pam-u-la's Journal, 21 June 2012

Well another hot and humid day! I feel really gross and bloated, do not like this feeling at all. Yes I have stayed hydrated but nothing seems to help right now. This has unfortunately put me in a down mood. Not sleeping well at night has certainly not helped the whole situation! I am so hoping for cooler weather to visit me again!!

Okay time for the 3 point list: 3 thing I believe strongly in!
1. The power and strength of the human spirit
2. Guardian angels and a higher power
3. Respect is earned not given, you need to give love to receive love back.

Now update from yesterdays to do list... Worked extra time but only a 1/2 hour. After work it was dropping off my library book, then shopping where I bought two new tank tops junior size med. After that to the grocery store, then finally made it home! At home fans were cleaned and set up to maximise air flow. To bed a little after 9 but did not help at all. So I did keep busy, stayed under my RDI and had a deficit on my calorie intake! Sure recording everything is a pain but when you see some negative numbers it brings hope that some weight loss is possible.

Today's task list is pretty simple.. As always work and try to sneek in a few extra minutes to balance out my 40hrs. Banking as today is my pay day which is funny because after I pay bills there is no pay left. Go to mom's and hang out for awhile, and relax at home tonight. Try to get some much needed sleep!

I wish all my buddies a safe, happy, and healthy day!

to my friend W4. I just thought of something, does it bother you that I am following your format for journaling. I just find yours so easy to read and absolutely loved the way that you broke everything down. If it has perturbed you in anyway please let me know so I can change it. Thank you!

Sorry you didn't sleep well. I know the feeling. But it does sound like you are right on track with your routine and keeping to the list. Having 'the blues' is something I am familiar with. Make sure you know and remind yourself that it will pass...because it will. Keep doing what you are doing. Check that your food doesn't have any 'hidden' sodium in it. That could be the cause of the bloated blahs. Dairy is good for that. You could cut back or eliminate it during the hot and sticky weather...though your diet appears to be dairy-free. Perhaps go back and see what you were eating when you were feeling better and make some changes to assimilate that. Hang in there! You're an inspirational and supportive voice that deserves some of her own cheerleading. RAH! RAH! PAM-U-LA!! :-D Have a wonderful and relaxing day!

thank you ppphhhttt... you have given me very sound words of advice. Yes my diet is dairy and meat free. I'm sure there is hidden sodium in everything that I eat.. perhaps during the next heat wave I will attempt to stick to fruit, veggies and protein alternatives. The blues shall pass.. I just get this way when I am over tired and stressed out. Thanks again...much love.

On the contrary - I am FLATTERED. Using a format for your journal that parallels mine in its structure is fine & dandy with me. I find that for people like you and me who own a tendency to become overwhelmed with life's "things," breaking them down & sorting them out really helps. Hang in there with the heat. Do you work outdoors? Do you have a cool AC system? Lie low today. As for formatting our days - FS is a great place to do that! Maybe that's the teacher in me whereby I love to take what COULD be a compplicated tangle & un-knot it! Take care

thank you W4... yes the teacher in you does shine brightly. No I don't work outdoors, but I do not have AC at home and hence the poor sleeping. Thank you for your concern.. much love.

Time to get out that oscillating fan -- unless it gives you a stiff neck. Hang tough Kidlet!

i currently have 5 fans going in my apartment. however being on the third floor of a three story walk up there is really not much relief.. unless the wind changes and comes from the east.. only good thing is that I only get the morning sun, and yes the windows are somewhat blacked out... the weather should break soon... I hope.
