Unofficial weigh in this morning puts me up a pound. We'll see what tomorrow says, but so far I think I am doing this keto type WOE alright. I really miss fruit though. Still I am going to try to be good so that I can eat more cheese and lose more weight. I hope I didn't overindulge in cheese this morning. I had a decent workout yesterday afternoon and dinner was turkey kielbasa, meat and cheese sausage, turkey burgers and grilled asparagus, so I think I should be under 100 net carbs for the day and hopefully put me into ketosis. (That alone is incredible for me, I think, because I am used to eating close to 200 or so net carbs a day easily.) Time will tell. For now I'm off to greet the day.

To achieve ketosis you'll likely need to get your net carbs down to 50 or below. Some people can achieve ketosis on more, but not many. You can still HIGHLY benefit from and also lose weight with "low carb" eating even if you aren't in ketosis, especially if you also limit calories to about 10 times your desired weight. In fact some Doctors who promote low carb or low glycemic index eating do not recommend going below 78 carbs, which is the number calculated to meet all brain glucose needs from carbohydrate sources rather than converted protien sources. Just saying, if you want ketosis you'll likely need to lower net carbs to 50 or below. As for myself, I cannot achieve a measurabe ketosis if I consume more than about 30 carbs. Blessings to you in all your efforts. I admire what you already weigh. I sure look forward to being that weight again.
