@Cheryl 🤣 I think the worst thing I ever got was a plain yellow #2 pencil ✏️. Like, WTH were they thinking?!?! 😂

@Zena So lame, not even a Halloween pencil either! This is when we learn that some adults just hate children. Ahahaha!

@Cheryl... RIGHT?!?! 🤣 I don't think they had Halloween pencils in my youth, approximately 40 years ago. I think the worst part was its symbolism- school. I mean, school was the "soul" reason that I wasn't going to be able to sit up all night and gorge on the candy that I DID get. 😂 Then, by the time I got home the next day, the "adults" had been in my bag & ate all of the good candy. 😒 It must have been a really traumatizing experience for me to remember it all of these years later! 😅

@Zenus awe no, all your hard work and your parents took your tastiest pieces. Luckily my mom let us go nuts. I would empty out my pillow slip then count them all and separate by color. Lol! I would then eat it till I felt sick and passed out on the floor in a delicious candy coma. I had little sisters though so I always had creative places to hide my candy from them and my parents. Good times!
